We were invited to a braai (BBQ) at Sally Ann’s (a friend of Phillip’s) house for a “meat-a-palooza” night, which G thought he had died and gone to heaven. Sally Ann has a ministry building houses in White River for orphans and adults with no other place to go.
We had lamb, beef, chicken, boerwors (similar to brats but not as greasy) and something we referred to as "mystery meat". The package said "meat" but other than that, we had no idea what we ate---it was tasty too. G said it was much like fatback.
